DAYCAMPS - For students in Hong Kong

Outreach to the local community

 

During Iniative For Peace Day Camps, we host students from Hong Kong Schools. A typical Day Camp, usually held on Saturday for purposes of mutual convenience for students and facilitators, has about 32 to 40 student participants at the age 15 and above.

 

Through interacting with our trained facilitators, the students learn about the basic concepts of conflict management & resolution theory and different aspects of conflicts involved in everyday life such as the contexts of home, school and society. The activities conducted during Day Camps are aimed at helping participants to understand how differences of opinions and practices can be used for the betterment and development of society in the spirit of the United World Colleges' mission to "celebrate diversity."
